Please explain the process? After your telephone consultation, the procedure includes 2 visits: the initial session followed by a recommended touchup visit 6 to 8 weeks later.
Is Permanent Makeup safe? Safety is of utmost importance. It is a clean procedure following the CDC and OSHA requirements. Pigments are metabolically inert and have an excellent safety record, all needles and products are disposable.
What are the associated risks? Risks are extremely rare. We see mostly minor skin irritations such as redness, swelling and bruising.
Does Cosmetic Tattooing hurt? There is some discomfort depending on your own tolerance to pain but topical anesthetics are used to minimize the pain.
How long does it take? Procedures take about 1.5-2.0 hours. The tattooing takes 30-60minutes.
Is this covered by insurance? This is a cosmetic procedure which is usually not covered by insurance. However arrangements can be made if you are a patients of the practicing doctor.
Is it easy to remove? It does fade but is hard to remove.
All procedures are done at Dr. L Weinstein's office: 385 Route 24, Suite 3K, Chester, NJ 07930
All procedures begin with a consultation where the desired work is discussed and evaluated. The final results and expectations are clearly explained in a professional and friendly environment. All procedures are performed in a clean and comfortable doctor's room and follow the safety standards required by the CDC.
Procedures take about 1.5 - 2.0 hours. The tattooed area will be sensitive and red with some swelling. After-care products and instructions are given to help with the healing. Most healing occurs in the first week as the skin scabs and peels and some pigment is exfoliated. During this time the intensity of the color will change and lighten. After 6 weeks the healing is complete and a touch-up visit (included in the price of Areola Tattooing) may be necessary to perfect the result.
Due to the sensitive nature of "live" photograph's we prefer not to publish them on the website.
